SIMILE (उपमा)
Simile is a comparison between two diffrent things having one common quality using the word like or as.
Examples
1) He is as agile(फुर्तीला) as monkey
2) She walks like a cat
3) This house is as old as the hill
4) Her hair is white like snow
Metaphor (रूपक)
Metaphor is an implied comparison between two different things
Like and as are not used in mataphor
Examples :-
1) He was a lion in the battle
2) Money is the root of all evils(बुराईयाँ)
3) All the world is stage
Personification (मानवीकरण)
In personification inanimate (निर्जीव) objects or ideas are shown as human quality.
Examples:-
1) Necessity is the mother of invention
2) Actions speak louder than words
3)The leaves on the ground danced in the wind
4) Fear knocked on the door
Alliteration (अनुप्रास)
Alliteration is the repetition of same cosonant sound at the beginning of sound
Examples-
Fourty fools found fifty flowers
My love is like a red red rose
One wise women
ASSONANCE
Assonance is the repetition of same vowel sound
It occurs in the middle of the words
Examples:
Men Sells wedding bells
